Breaking News: Baltimore Judge Stands on Business and Blocks Trump’s Executive Order that would De-fund DEI

U.S. District Judge Adam Abelson granted a preliminary injunction blocking the Trump administration from withholding federal funding for DEI-related contracts and grants.

The Judge stated the executive order likely violates free-speech rights and granted an injunction blocking the funding withdrawal as litigation continues.

In a written opinion, Judge Abelson stated the executive orders are unconstitutionally vague, and that federal contractors and grant recipients have “no reasonable way to know what, if anything, they can do to bring their grants into compliance.”
